Le Réseau de respect de la vie est un projet de l’Organisation nationale de la santé autochtone. Le site Internet offre des ressources et une information culturellement pertinentes sur la prévention du suicide, pour aider les communautés autochtones à faire face à l’épidémie de suicides qui sévit actuellement chez les jeunes des Premières nations, inuits et métis au Canada.

En plus d’offrir aux jeunes autochtones une place où aller et où lire au sujet d’autres personnes confrontées aux mêmes problèmes, le site permet à ceux et celles qui travaillent avec les jeunes autochtones de se connecter, de discuter et de partager les ressources et les stratégies pour la prévention du suicide. Le répertoire des ressources du site, pour la prévention du suicide, sera régulièrement mis à jour dans l’espoir de fournir aux communautés autochtones un répertoire détaillé de documentation sur la prévention du suicide.

Créé par Santé Canada, ce site Internet est le fruit du travail commun de Indian Health Service aux États-Unis et de la Direction générale de la santé des Premières nations et des Inuits de Santé Canada.

L’Organisation nationale de la santé autochtone (ONSA) est un organisme conçu et contrôlé par des Autochtones dont le seul but est d'influencer et de faire progresser la santé et le bien-être des peuples autochtones en appliquant des stratégies basées sur la connaissance.
